Ellis D. Berkowitz, MSW, ACSW, LCSW
Ellis D. Berkowitz, MSW, ACSW, LCSW
Board Certified in Clincial Social Work

Ellis is a License Clinical Social Worker. He earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Norfolk State University in 1984.

Ellis works with children, teens, and adults with ADHD and related problems. Often parents, siblings, spouses, and teachers are involved in the assessment and treatment process. Their personal experiences with the client may provide valuable insights that can assist in making a proper diagnosis.

Ellis has presented at conferences and workshops on the topic of Attention Deficit Disorder. Ellis has also had several published articles related to ADHD and has appeared on local television and radio programs related to ADHD and its effects on the family

Ellis is a parent of two ADHD children and he too has ADHD. This dual perspective allows Ellis to connect with children, teens, parents, and adults at an emotional and practical level which helps to normalize the problem but also provides reassurance that the client can succeed and have ADHD.

Karen has been counseling individuals, couples and families in York County for over 25 years. Her areas of interest and experience include working with a wide range of mental health as well as the problems of everyday living. Of particular interest are parent-child concerns of early childhood as well as adults who have experienced trauma and women’s issues.

Karen completed her graduate work at Fordham University in NY and presents workshops on brain development in early childhood and maintaining a healthy brain across the life span. Karen sees herself as a “coach” helping people move from where they are to where they want to be by developing the strengths they already have to get there.


Nancy Pendergast, LCSW

Nancy is a License Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Masters Degree from Temple University. She has been in private pratice for over 25 years.

Nancy works with adults, children, teens and couples, with marital and divorce issues, mood and anxiety disorders, adoption issues, parent-child conflicts, child abuse as well as other life transition issues.
